 IT FEBRUARY, I'M BACK-TO-WORK AND THINGS ARE LOOKING GREAT AT SOUTHSIDE |
WOW! Our first BLOG of the New Year... there are many
exciting things that have been happening and more
fun stuff will soon be taking place!
Check out the 'homepage' for all the details and be
on the lookout for a NEW BLOG on the 1st and 3rd
Thursday of every month! I will be in my office
every Thursday, if you need to make an appointment,
feel free to do so anytime during the week ahead of
your desired appointment time. Obviously, I'll also
be at Church every Wednesday at 6 P.M., every
Sunday at 9 A.M. and 6 P.M., as well. Happy
Valentine's Day - we hope to see you at the "Family
Valentine Dinner" this week (10th)!

 ANOTHER NOTE TO YOU FROM THE PENN'S - NO BLOG AVAILABLE FOR NOVEMBER 1ST, NOVEMBER 15TH, DECEMBER 1ST, DECEMBER 15TH, JANUARY 1ST OR JANUARY 15TH |
Great news... SHE'S HERE!!! On October 30th our
little Alyson Dawn came into this beautiful world
YAY! She weighed in at 7lbs. 6oz. and was 21" long.
with dark hair like her Daddy. (Her 'early'
arrival was due to the Doc's wish and our wish that
she and I would both be in the best of health and
ready for her birth!) The nursery is done (with the
one exception of the wall above her bed... we're
only having to wait on the 'letters' to arrive) and
it's gorgeous! At this point, I'd say we're just
pinching ourselves to see if all of this is real or
not!!! Above all else, we're just enjoying this
little gift from Heaven! She's beautiful! We've
taken pix of her nursery, some at the hospital and
a few others here at home, as well... You can view
a handful of them at: www.carepages.com (using the
care name of alysondawn) - - -we'll do our very
best to have them posted on her site
(www.littleangelalyson.zoomshare.com) soon, as well
!?!? All of that to say, THIS IS IT as far as
Blogging, Webbing, Surfing, etc. go for a while - -
- atleast until things smooth out a bit around our
place. We'll be back online ASAP with an updated
Blog! I will be back 'to work' and in the office,
at the beginning of February looking
forward to more wonderful times with the children
of Southside Nazarene! Please keep our little
family in your prayers over the next months or so?
Thank you so much for your understanding and
prayers not only during my pregnancy, but now
during the first months at my being a new mom, too!
Most of all, thanks for being such dear friends
(and family)! Love to each of you ~ Shelly (Greg
and Alyson love you all, too!)

 OCTOBER 15TH ~ |
"FRIEND DAY" WAS YESTERDAY AND THE CHURCH WAS
PACKED OUT! IT WAS A WONDEFUL DAY AROUND
SOUTHSIDE WITH SO MANY FRIENDS VISITNG, A YUMMY
MEAL FOR EVERYONE AND GOD REALLY BLESSED EACH
SERVICE! THE NEXT BIG EVENT WILL BE THE ANNUAL
HALLOWEEN ALTERNATIVE... SEE MRS. MARI IF YOU
HAVE ANY QUESTIONS! ALL ADULTS NEED TO
EITHER 'DONATE' THEIR VEHICLE TRUNKS FILLED WITH
TREATS OR THEY NEED TO DONATE BAGGED GOODIES THAT
CAN BE USED THAT EVENING IN 'OTHER' TRUNKS! WE
NEED EVERYONE'S HELP T0 PULL OFF YET ANOTHER
GREAT EVENT!!! AGAIN MRS. MARI HAS ALL THE
DETAILS! AS YOU'VE PROBABLY NOTICED, THERE'S
A "BIG CHURCH BIZ" CALENDAR ON OUR HOMEPAGE NOW -
SHARE IT WITH YOUR PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS -
THERE'S SOMETHING THERE FOR EVERYONE! WE'LL SEE
YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS AND YOUR FAMILY THIS WEEK AT

 OCTOBER 1ST ~ |
Our 'Back-to-School-Family-Lunch' went very
well... Thanks to all who brought food in, helped
Mrs. Kathy set up and those who entertained the
children that afternoon A great time was had by
all! Be on the look-out for more details on our
Annual Halloween Alternative... it's just a few
weeks away! Mrs. Mari is working hard to make
this another GREAT event!!! YOU DON'T WANT TO
MISS IT! We'll see you at church..........

 SEPTEMBER 15TH - - - HERE AND GONE! |
There are many many exciting things happening
around Southside right now! Kidz Konnect have
begun Christmas practices (AND they have
refreshments EVERY week, too!). Kidz Konnect is
also in charge of the "Back-to-School Lunch" this
month (AND they're gonna have games for the kids
to play during the afternoon, too!). Kidz Klub is
already 'gearing up' for next summer... Kidz Quiz
is off to a great start... the annual Halloween
Alternative is just around the corner... AND
soooo much more!!! If you haven't joined in on
some of this fun yet, YOU DON'T KNOW JUST WHAT
YOU'VE MISSING!!! Remember, ALL activities listed
above are not only for the children of
Southside, BUT also their friends and families,
as well! We'll see YOU at
church.....................
